"It was a diverse time when football players and Future Farmers of America comingled with surfers. And thespians and musicians chatted up kids in the burbs and student government.
EVERYONE came together as ONE.
It didn’t matter what race, sex, or religion...you were one of US! Did we have hiccups along the way? Absolutely!
Usually they were caused by things outside of our control. Once confronted, they were quickly dissolved, and we went on loving one another in our good old small town way.
I’m not writing this as a Democrat or a Republican but as someone who just loves my friends, this American way of life, and my childhood neighborhood. Remember, you can have a different opinion and still love and RESPECT your friends and neighbors. We were raised that way!
